This temple is dedicated to Tamagawa Ukyo. It was built by the first lord
of Matsushiro, Nobuyuki Sanada. Ukyo served the Sanada family in their
later life and accompanied day and night until Nobuyuki died at the age
of 93. In front of the main hall there are magnificent Wisteria flowers
that bloom in early May. With a reservation you can eat a local delicious
delicacy called Hitokuchi Oyaki (bite sized Oyaki).
